During the holidays, many local organizations collect donations of toys for the children of families in need so that no child goes without something special under the tree. Chester Kiwanis Club During November, the club will be collecting new toys for its annual Toyland Project. Parents may choose items for each of their children at no charge on Saturday, Dec. 10, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., at the Chester Erie Railroad Station, 19 Winkler Place, Chester. Gift wrapping will also be available free of charge. Toyland Project drop-off boxes are available for donations at the following locations: Brookside Chiropractic, Chester Academy, Chester Elementary School, Chester Greenery And Gifts, Chester Public Library, Chester Village Police Station, Colonial Bowling Lanes, Hambletonian Auto Spa, Hudson United Bank, Jennie’s Deli, and Key Bank Provident Bank. Donations of new toys will be accepted until Tuesday, Dec. 6. WTBQ Radio WTBQ Radio will have drop-off boxes at all Florida town and village halls, and “all the stores,” according to radio personality Uncle Buck (Frank Pileggi), who will also pick up toys for anyone who calls him at 469-7551.
