During the holidays, many local organizations collect donations of toys for the children of families in need so that no child goes without something special under the tree. WTBQ Radio’s Toy Drive WTBQ Radio will have drop-off boxes at all Florida town and village halls, and “all the stores,” according to radio personality Uncle Buck (Frank Pileggi), who will also pick up toys for anyone who calls him at 469-7551. Toyland Project During November, the Chester Kiwanis Club will be collecting new toys for its annual Toyland Project. Parents may choose items for each of their children at no charge from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 10, at the Chester Erie Railroad Station at 19 Winkler Place in Chester. Gift wrapping will be available, free of charge. Drop-off boxes are available at the following locations: Brookside Chiropractic, Chester Academy, Chester Elementary School, Chester Greenery And Gifts, Chester Public Library, Chester Village Police Station, Colonial Bowling Lanes, Hambletonian Auto Spa, Hudson United Bank, Jennie’s Deli, Key Bank, and Provident Bank. Donations will be accepted until Tuesday, Dec. 6. Bank of America’s Toy Drive Bring holiday cheer to children in the community by donating a toy through Bank of America’s 2005 Holiday Toy Drive. From Monday, Nov. 28, to Friday, Dec. 16, Bank of America banking centers will accept toys for local charities to benefit children in your area. The toys must be new, unwrapped and appropriate for children up to 18 years of age. Toys For Tots The United States Marine Corps will be collecting new toys for Toys for Tots from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. until Friday, Dec. 2, at the K-B Toy Outlet at 620 Bluebird Court in Woodbury Common. The Marine Corps Reserve will be collecting new, unwrapped gifts for Toys For Tots program during the Harness Racing Museum and Hall of Fame’s Jingle Bells Holiday Concert at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 8.
