Town of Warwick PBA gives $500 to Warwick Valley Community Center

WARWICK - The Town of Warwick PBA recently donated $500 to the Warwick Valley Community Center. “Our annual fund drive is one of our main sources of seeking support from the public and business community in the Town of Warwick,” said Tammy Artusa, community center president. “We are very fortunate to have a police department that supports the community and the programs that are offered by the Community Center.” According to Artusa, the fund drive, along with Applefest , is the primary source of funds that enables the community center to pay for its operational expenses and fund new and existing programs. Michael Kearns, a Warwick police officer and representative from the Town of Warwick PBA, presented the check. “We are glad to be a part of supporting the community center and its programs,” said Kearns. “ They have a brand new state of the art teen center which is free for the teens of the Town of Warwick. We feel the community is lucky to have a community center in our township that provides so much support for so many people and we’re happy to support them in any way we can.” The Warwick Community Center is a non-profit organization that provides low or no cost programs for the community. Some of the current programs include the Teen Center, small fry pre-school, movie nights, dance programs, theater programs and room rentals.
