Warwick - The following information comes from Town of Warwick Supervisor Michael Sweeton’s office: • Orange County will be collecting used tires during June at the New Hampton Transfer Station on Route 17M in Goshen. Residents may dispose of up to five tires per visit free of charge. The tires are limited to 17 inches or smaller and must be off the rim. Call 291-2643 with any questions. • A public hearing to amend chapter 34 of the Town Code, Department of Public Works, will be held on Thursday, June 14, at 7:30 p.m. in Warwick Town Hall. The next regular meeting of the Town Board will follow. • Congratulations to Clayton Eurich who was recognized by the Orange County Office of the Aging as “Senior Citizen of the Year” in a ceremony held several weeks ago in Albany. “Mr. Eurich is a veteran who left high school to serve in World War II,” Sweeton said in his press release. “Upon his return Mr. Eurich started his family and his business. Almost immediately he started his career of volunteerism which has led to 41 years of service to the Boy Scouts, service with his Church, and of course, proudly serving as post chaplain for Warwick VFW Post #4662. As a boy growing up, Mr. Eurich was a role model to me, always having a kind word of encouragement and always watching out to make sure we stayed on the right path. Our community owes Mr. Eurich a big thank you for making Warwick a better place.” • For town information log on to www.townofwarwick.org or turn to Cablevision Municipal Channel 21.
