Warwick Valley Farmers’ Market - A Community Gathering Place Warwick — Last Sunday was another wonderful community experience at the Warwick Valley Farmers’ Market: There was live music by Marji Zintz, a special vendor sharpening knives and an Eagle Scout raising funds for his project to benefit the Warwick Middle School Drama Club through sales of bottled water. The community showed amazing support for our local farmers by purchasing T-shirts and tickets from FFA students for the Warwick Farm Aid event being held next Sunday, Sept. 25. This Sunday, Sept. 18, from 11 a.m. to noon, there will be a chef demonstration by two seasoned chefs who use local ingredients: Chef Shawn Hubbell from Amuzae and Chef Erik Johansen from the Iron Forge Inn. The Community Partner at the market will be Kid Strings music. Come to the market to visit with family, friends, and neighbors while finding all the freshest produce, meats, cheeses, wines, pasta, olive oil, baked goods, honey, maple syrup, plants, and flowers. The Warwick Valley Farmers’ Market is open Sundays, rain or shine, from 9 a.m. top 2 p.m. in the South Street Lot until Nov. 20. Go to Facebook or warwickvalleyfarmersmarket.org for more information.
