    Pine Island - Here’s the flapjack mathematics from the Pulaski Fire Company’s annual pancake breakfast, according to Pine Island Fire Chief Rich Koziola. The Pulaskis’ 22nd annual breakfast was held last Sunday at the fire house on County Route 1. • 3,500: Pancakes served during the five-hour event, which began at 7:30 a.m. • 1,500: Income in dollars after expenses. • 1,440: Number of eggs served in one form or another. • 581: People paying $6 (admission was $5 for senior citizens, $4 for kids) to attend this all-you-can-eat extravaganza. • 300: Pounds of potatoes consumed - all in the form of home fries. • 275: Omelets served. • 190: Pounds of sausage served. • 50: Increase in pounds in potato consumption over last year’s breakfast. • 38: Gallons of orange juice on hand at the start of breakfast. • 25: Gallons of pre-mixed pancake batter used. • 4: Gallons of syrup needed to sweeten all those flapjacks. • 1: Gallons of OJ left over after the last guest went home.
