The nearby beach

Last Sunday was a great day at the Town of Warwick’s Thomas Morahan Memorial Beach, located at the end of Windermere Avenue in Greenwood Lake, as large crowds enjoyed the sandy beach and warm waters while others prepared hot dogs, burgers and the other staples of barbecue in the shadow of nearby trees. The beach is open daily; lifeguards are on duty from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. A day pass is $3 for Warwick residents, $7 for non-residents.
