The Historical Society invites Warwickians to the revolution

Warwick — Friends, neighbors and fellow Warwickians are urged to join the fight to continue to learn and have fun in Warwick. Gather and celebrate the Warwickians who gave their lives for our town and our great nation. Join together on July 28 for the annual George Washington Day. The Warwick Historical Society will celebrate the dedication of the Baird’s Education Center by offering tours of Baird’s tavern and commemorating the Revolutionary soldier with a covered-dish supper in Lewis Park. The fun starts at 5 p.m. Family activities will take place in the park from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Attendees should bring a covered-dish to share. The Historical Society will provide paper products and soft drinks. Young revolutionaries are invited to join in continuing the legacy of Warwick. From 9 a.m. to noon on July 24, 25 and 26 we will be offering fun and adventure at Baird’s Tavern. Come and explore the homes of our ancestors learn what it was like to be a revolutionary soldier and engage in activities that will propel you to the past.
