Thank you for your ‘vigilance, tenderness'

To the editor: Last Spring our family relocated my mother from an assisted living facility in Naples, Florida, to the Mt. Alverno assisted living center in Warwick so that she could be closer to her family in her declining health. Unfortunately, she declined more rapidly than we predicted and passed away several weeks ago. During the period she was in Mt. Alverno, and then later in St. Anthony Community Hospital and Schervier Pavilion, my mother received extraordinary care. The management and entire staff were at all times actively involved in her daily care and physical therapy (unlike in the Florida assisted living facility) and did so with constant vigilance, tenderness and understanding. I thank each and every person at Mt. Alverno for their superior treatment, as well as the staff at the other Bon Secours health system facilities, and I highly recommend Mt. Alverno to others.
