Tax help for seniors available

GOSHEN — The Orange County Office for the Aging, in conjunction with the American Association of Retired Persons (AARP), will offer free assistance with 2007 federal and New York State Income tax forms at 14 locations throughout the county. Tax assistants are volunteers trained and certified by the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) after rigorous testing. The program is open to Orange County residents aged 60 or older. Every effort is made to assure privacy and all information is kept confidential. Electronic filing is available at several locations. Tax-aide assistance is limited to preparation of basic, individual income tax forms by appointment only. For a list of tax locations, call: 615-3700.
