Warwick - They have names like “Knuckle Head,” “Goose Bump” and “Kamo-Kamo” with an appearance that is anything but normal. They are the first varieties of the new Super Freak™ series of heavily warted pumpkins, gourds and squash now available at the Scheuermann Farms. “They are completely unique,” said Sally Scheuermann, “and give our customers something different to see in addition to the typical fall pumpkins and gourds. These varieties demonstrate a perfect theme for Halloween by creating perfectly freaky and scary Jack O Lanterns.” Small warted gourds have long been a standard fall decoration, but no one has yet been able to bring a full-sized and heavily warted pumpkin to the market until now. “There have been over 10 generations of breeding and dedication invested into these varieties in order to get them perfect,” added Bob Scheuermann. The Scheuermanns sees this as “the next big thing” for restaurants, parties, decorations and unusual accents for themed parties this fall. Scheuermann Farms are located at 73 Little York Road in Warwick. For additional information, visit online at www.warwickinfo.net/scheuermann or call 845-258-4221.
