SUNY Orange plans fall admissions open house for Oct. 20

    College will offer prospective students information on academic programs, student services, campus activities MIDDLETOWN — Prospective SUNY Orange students will have the chance to learn about the College’s array of academic programs, student support services and student activities from 6 to 8 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 20, in the George F. Shepard Student Center during the college’s fall admissions open house. High school students, adults looking to return to the classroom and any other interested prospective students are encouraged to visit the Middletown campus to gather information about the college’s many academic programs, as well as transfer and career possibilities students enjoy following graduation from SUNY Orange. Financial aid, scholarship guidelines and admissions information will be provided as well. Attendees can learn about any or all of the nearly 40 academic majors SUNY Orange offers. Additionally, the college boasts one of the finest student transfer success rates in the State University of New York system and provides diverse educational opportunities to help students meet their goals. SUNY Orange is also a member of the Hudson Valley Educational Consortium, which allows the College to bring emergency responder and innovative technology programs from other community colleges in the region to the campuses of SUNY Orange. Athletics and student activities representatives will have information regarding many of the sports programs, clubs and organizations at the College. SUNY Orange also operates an academic honors program for highly motivated and talented students. Tours of the college’s Middletown campus will be provided, beginning at 4:30 p.m., and light refreshments will be available in the Shepard Center’s Fireplace Lounge. The Shepard Student Center is located at the intersection of South and Bennett streets. Parking is available nearby.
