SUNY Orange business programs receive national accreditation
Middletown Orange County Community College’s department of business this semester received its national accreditation by the Association of Collegiate Business Schools and Programs’s board of commissioners on Saturday, Nov. 19. “We’re delighted to receive the accreditation from the board of commissioners,” said Suzanne Krissler, professor and chair of Accounting and Office Technologies. “It confirms to us on a national level that we’re on the right track, which is important, because at SUNY Orange, we’ve always been focused on the leading edge of the business world, which today is so often in a national and even a global forum.” All the SUNY Orange business degree programs have been re-affirmed for accreditation, including accounting, business administration, business management, computer information systems, E-business, information technology, marketing, medical office assistant, and office technologies. All the degree programs underwent a year-long review process, wrote the self-study, and had a site visit in September by professional peers.
