Stuart Durland, past president of ASCnet, honored

Warwick Stuart Durland, vice president and co-owner of Seely & Durland, and former president of ASCnet, the Applied Systems Client Network, received a service award at ASCnet’s Technology, Education and Networking Conference in Nashville, Tenn. More than 1,900 insurance professionals from across the United States, United Kingdom, and Canada attended the conference, which offered training classes, panel discussions, review of the latest technological advances in the insurance industry, and an opportunity to discuss issues with their peers. At the conference, Durland received recognition for his work as ASCnet’s president, and as a member of its board of directors for six years. ASCnet was founded in 1985, and is based in Altamonte Springs, Fla. The international association represents more than 110,000 insurance professionals. “Membership and participation in ASCnet is what sets independent agents apart from the price-driven, 1-800 or internet insurance companies,” Durland said. “Our goal is to make sure our licensed agents continue their education to ensure that proper coverage and top value is provided to every client.” Seely & Durland is celebrating its 72nd anniversary as an independent agency, representing dozens of companies offer insurance for home, auto, valuable articles, business, life, and more.
