St. Joseph hosts open house with new principal Jan 28-Feb. 2
Florida St. Joseph School in Florida, a Catholic early childhood education and elementary school, is holding an open house from Jan. 28 through Feb. 2, hosted by its new principal, Joanne Fratello, a certified principal from the Archdiocese of New York. “Going forward, we want to build on St. Joseph’s strong foundation” said Fratello. “The school is working very closely with the parish and the Archdiocese toward that end.” During open house, visitors are invited to tour the school and visit classes. In addition, there will be a Scholastic book fair throughout the week, as well as the annual science fair. “I love the science fair,” said Mary Dixon, the librarian, “because the children put so much work into their projects; they really are impressive.” One of the other highlights of the week is the annual Grandparents Luncheon. This tradition brings the school children together with their grandparents for a special meal. It’s a wonderful opportunity for St. Joseph students to show their grandparents their school and the work they’ve been doing. “I look forward to this luncheon,” said Sue Tovey, grandmother of Brooke Van Aulen and WTBQ radio host. “It’s a lovely way to spend time with my granddaughter.” St. Joseph School is currently accepting registrations for the 2007-08 academic year.
