St. Anthony celebrates its outstanding patient experience award

Warwick — Hospital employees, administration, and area dignitaries gathered Aug. 11 on the Bon Secours Warwick Healthcare Campus for a ceremony and under-the-tent barbecue to celebrate the hospital receiving a prestigious national award for patient satisfaction. The hospital is among the top 15 percent in the nation for patient experience based on an analysis of patient surveys from 3,775 hospitals across the country by HealthGrades, the leading independent health care ratings organization. St. Anthony Community Hospital is the only hospital in New York to place in the top 10 percent in the state for outstanding patient experience in 2010/11. “We are extremely proud to receive this prestigious national award,” said Philip Patterson, CEO of Bon Secours Charity Hospital System, “and knowing that it comes from our patients makes it especially gratifying.
