Spring pick-up of household items

    Warwick — The Village of Warwick will be holding a spring pick-up of household items. The Department of Public Works has divided the village into two areas, to receive pick-up either the week of April 17 to 21, or the week of April 24 to 28. All items must be at the curbside by 7 a.m. on the Monday of the week scheduled for that area. Once an area has had a pick-up, there will be no return trips. Household items such as furniture, mattresses, and rugs are acceptable. However, the following will not be picked up: garbage, leaves, brush, tires, barrels, paint, drain oil, newspapers, construction or building material, televisions, computer equipment, and appliances such as refrigerators, washers, dryers, and stoves. For more information, call 986-2081 between 8:30 a.m. and 4 p.m. The following are the dates and areas for pick-up: Week beginning Monday, April 17: High St., Church St., Forester Ave north of the railroad tracks, Colonial Ave north side of Grand St. to the corporation line of Locust St., Maple Ave, and all streets within the area. South side of West St. to the corporation line and Division St., Howe St. and all streets within this area to the west side of Oakland Ave, and including Campbell Road. Week beginning Monday, April 24: East side of Oakland Ave to Forester Ave at the railroad tracks to Galloway Road on the north side. South side of Galloway Road, Homestead Village area, Hawthorne Ave, Overlook Drive, South St. extension, and Southern Lane to the corporation line of Brady Road. Gordon Terrace and Ridgefield Road.
