Spring Ball raises more than $200,000 for emergency room expansion

Warwick - No one wanted to stop dancing and so the band played on until well after midnight. On Saturday, April 29, St. Anthony Community Hospital in Warwick hosted its Annual Spring Ball. The event was held at the Sheraton Crossroads in nearby Mahwah, New Jersey. Guests enjoyed a cocktail hour, open bar, dinner, dancing to the music of the Anthony St. James Orchestra, raffle prizes and both live and silent auctions. Spring Ball Committee Chair Terry Quint reported that the sold-out event, with ticket sales breaking all previous records, was within reach of raising more than $200,000. Proceeds will be used to help fund the modernization and expansion of St. Anthony Community Hospital’s emergency room. Apart from raising funds for the benefit of the hospital, the Spring Ball also is an opportunity to honor members of the community, members of the medical staff and outstanding hospital employees. This year, the Warwick Healthcare campus, which is comprised of St. Anthony Community Hospital, Schervier Pavilion and Mount Alverno Center, presented awards to Mrs. Morris Renfrew Bradner Jr., Anesthesiologists Ming C. Chiou, MD, and Ching H. Huang, MD, and Laurie Motejl, RN. The annual St. Anthony Community Hospital Spring Ball also offers sponsorship and journal advertising opportunities for individuals and businesses wishing to demonstrate support for the Warwick Healthcare Campus and each year’s honorees. This year’s sponsors included Gold sponsors: Bon Secours Health System, Inc, MedExcel USA, St. Anthony Community Hospital Medical Staff and Pelton Crossing; Silver sponsors: Bonacic, Lo Biondo & Krahulik, LLP, Deer Crossing, DL Hawkins & Associates, Dr. and Mrs. Jerome Quint, Glenwood Homes, Horizon Family Medical Group, Kennedy Companies, Inc., Lederman Real Estate, the New York Giants, Provident Bank, Regional EMS, Seely & Durland, The Pear Tree, Times Herald-Record and Union State Bank; Bronze sponsors: Barbara Moore, Wachovia Securities, Country Chevrolet, Dr. and Mrs. Stephen Hoverman, Goshen Medical Associates, Leo Kaytes Ford, Re/Max Benchmark Realty Group, Shoppes at Cider Mill Village; Cocktail sponsors: Community Bank of Orange, Guidant Corporation, Law Offices of Robert F.
