Youth football, cheerleading signups

Chester — The Chester Youth Football and Cheerleading League will be holding registration at two events: from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 11, at the Maple Street gym in the old high school; and from 6 to 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 16, at the Chester Senior Center on Kings Highway. The division for boys and girls are: Mighty Mites for ages 6 and 7, Division 1 for ages 8 and 9, Division 2 for ages 10 and 11, and Division 3 for ages 12 and 13 (must turn 14 after August 1). New registrants need to bring a copy of their birth certificate. Fees vary according to division, and a work bond is required. Checks only will be accepted. An open board of directors meeting will follow the sign-up on Thursday, Feb. 16. Anybody interested in serving on the board or coaching must attend. For more information, call 469-8571 or 469-0920.
