— Chris Giordano has been selected as this week’s Warwick Valley High School “Student–Athlete of the Week” under the program sponsored by the Bill Garcia Allstate Insurance Agency.

The senior is a standout in both lacrosse and wrestling, and is the driving force for the Wildcat wrestling team that is undefeated in Division II.

Chris is an excellent student, whose 91.5 grade point average has drawn interest from many colleges as a student–athlete and lacrosse prospect. His top college choices are the United States Merchant Marine and SUNY Maritime, where he plans to study marine engineering.

His senior academic course load includes AP Government, AP Environmental Science and the Introduction to Business class through SUNY Orange.

The New York State Public High School Athletic Association has recognized Chris as a Scholar–athlete for lacrosse and wrestling in his junior year.

In his limited free time, Chris volunteers with the Wounded Warrior Project.

Chris is the son of Al and Beth Giordano of Warwick. His older brother Nick is a Warwick Valley graduate.
