    Washingtonville — Below are Week 9 game scores for the Orange County Soccer League. Playoffs are scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 19, and Sunday, Nov. 20. AMI Services Inc. vs Optimized Energy (Warwick) 0-2 On Saturday, Nov. 5, a strong game was played by Optimized Energy, whose offense players were Melinda McDonald, Regan Romanowski, and Tricia Kent. Defense players were Theresa Conlon and Andrea DeCastro. Two travel team players assisted the win, for a final score was 0-2. Loughran’s (Salisbury Mills) vs E.P. Jansen Nursery (Florida) 4-2 On Sunday, Nov. 6, in the first quarter, E.P. Jansen Nursery scored the first goal off a direct kick from Jillian Schweizer, Loughran’s was able to tie it up with a goal by Jacy Smith. In the third quarter, Sarah Farina (from Optimized Energy) scored from just past midfield to put E.P. Jansen ahead 2-1. Loughran’s, Jacy Smith tied it up in for a score of 2-2. Loughran’s Dolly Conklin, wing defender, offered tight defense as usual, and Linda Dolansky stepped up on the other wing to even out the missing players. Cathy Jacobson subbed for Loughran’s. Going into the 4th quarter, Loughran’s offense charged in with two more goals by Angie Trzepkowski and Jeaninne Smith for a final score of 4-2. E.P. Jansen Nursery (Florida) vs Hook & Ladder (Washingtonville) 2-3 On Sunday, Nov. 6, the game was well matched and tied up until the last two seconds of the game. Jillian Schweizer, scored first for E.P. Jansen Nursery with a picture-perfect shot in the corner. Hook & Ladder was up 2-1 in the second quarter when Schweizer struck again, off an assist from Stacey Roth (subbing from Schlesinger’s). Sarah Farina (subbing from Optimized Energy) played a flawless defensive game for E.P. Jansen Nursery. With the game tied 2-2 for the third and fourth quarters, Stephanie Bliss came down on a breakaway and scored for Hook & Ladder with two seconds remaining in the game, for a final score of 2-3. Hook & Ladder (Washingtonville) vs Schlesingers (New Windsor) 6-0 On Sunday, Nov. 6, Hook & Ladder played a good game, for a final score of 6-0 over Schlesingers.
