Wildkats continue their prowl

Warwick - The U11G Wildkats continued their division winning streak in their match against Cornwall with a 4-0 victory this past weekend. At the onset, the Wildkats offense came on strong and Christina Ginley got the game started with two early goals. During the second half, mother nature came on as strong as the Wildkats with strong winds and rain. But ignoring the weather, Kerry Franklin trapped the ball and shot on Cornwall, making the score the 3-0. Throughout the game, Cornwall kept threatening the Warwick defense but was not able to get through the Wildkats’ defense and keeper Alicia Revels, who did an outstanding job saving numerous attempts on goal by Cornwall. With minutes left in the second half, Warwick again pushed the ball into Cornwall’s end of the field, and with a pass from Rachel Janes, Kimmy Smyth scored the final goal of the game. Along with other Warwick teams, the Wildkats will travel to Albany on Memorial Day Weekend for the annual Guilderland Tournament.
