Wildcats U11 girls recapture first
Warwick - The Warwick Wildcats U-11 Girls were battling and reclaiming first place in the standings. The Wildcats met Minisink again on Saturday after a 2-0 defeat the prior weekend. This time, however, the Wildcats delivered a 3-1 victory over their Minisink opponent. The girls started the game on fire with many shots on goal early on, including a fierce strike and goal by Kerri Franklin to put the Wildcats ahead 1-0. The Wildcat defense, along with keeper Alicia Revels, managed to shutdown the Minisink offense but for one goal in the first half. That would be Minisink’s only score of the day. The second half again the Wildcats came out strong, displaying tremendous teamwork and determination to reclaim the first-place position. Meagan Ryan delivered two consecutive goals with two exemplary strikes, bringing the game to a 3-1 victory. The following day the Wildcats met Walkill and easily delivered a 6-0 win. Goals were made by Kerry Franklin, Taylyn Carter, Michelle La Greca, Caroline Seeberg and two by Kimmy Smyth.
