Wildcats take down the Kingston Tigers

WARWICK — The Wildcats defended Homecoming 2013 with a resounding 48–26 football victory over the Kingston Tigers to improve their record to 3–1.
Brad Garcia led the offense with 401 yards rushing and six touchdowns while Brendan Bauer contributed another touchdown and Joe Smith added more than 50 yards rushing.
The Wildcat defense was led by AJ Sakac, who had nine tackles, and Trevor Pinkham secured seven more.
Mike Houlihan and John Vanderstar also each had 5 tackles as the defensive line of Dermott Egan, Capen Burbank, Justin Giannino, Brendan Thomas, Francis Nnamani and Dominic Blandino won the battle at the line of scrimmage.
Davis Brief was six of seven on extra points and had three touchbacks.
The Wildcats moved up the state ranking to number 18 in the large school division (Maxpreps AA).
Warwick will look to keep its perfect record at home on Friday, Oct. 4, against Minisink Valley.
Kick-off is slated for 7 p.m. and all senior cheerleaders and football players will be recognized before the game.
