Wildcats sign letters of intent

Warwick. Five WVCSD high school athletes signal their intention to play collegiate sports.

Five Warwick Wildcats signed National Letters of Intent (NLI) this month indicating their commitment to play sports at NCAA colleges and universities.

Chase Fogg, Christian Felix, David “DJ” Madura, Jacob Gibel and William “Joey” Krasniewicz join 10 other Wildcats who signed their letters in November and February.

Fogg (Football/Baseball) will play baseball for the University of San Francisco where he plans to major in business management. The three-year varsity player was named to the All League team in 2022 and had the top fielding percentage on the team. He maintains a 90.5% grade point average (GPA) and was a two-time NYSPHAA Scholar Athlete. His family includes his parents, Elena and Bill, and sister Alex, a 2019 Warwick grad.

Felix (Football) signed his NLI to play offensive line for SUNY Brockport Eagles where he plans to major in sociology. The All-League selection at offensive tackle was team captain, a two-year starter, on the NYSHSFCA Lineman to Watch List and selected to the Exceptional Senior Game 2023. With an 5.7 GPA, he was also selected as a NYSPHAA Scholar-Athlete. His family includes parents, Sandra and Ruben, sister Cassandra, and brothers Nathan and Jaebets.

Madura (Football) will play offensive line for the NCAA Division IIII SUNY Brockport Eagles where he plans to major in business. The two-year starter was named All-League honorable mention at offensive tackle, selected to the Exceptional Senior Game 2023 and has an 82.6 GPA. His family includes parents Kristie and John, sister Alissa, a 2021 Warwick grad, and brother Joshua, a 2017 Warwick grad.

Gibel (Football) will play offensive line at Utica University where he plans to major in sports management. The four-time NYSPHSAA Scholar-Athlete was a two-year starter at guard, named Strongest Wildcat for 560 lb. squat and All-League honorable mention at offensive guard. His GPA is 95.5. His family includes parents Kimberly and Gregory, and brother Andrew.

Krasniewicz (Football/Baseball) will attend the University of Buffalo where he is receiving the Pride of NY Scholarship and entering Buffalo’s Honors College as a dual major in aerospace and mechanical engineering. He was honored as a New York State Football Coaches Association Class A Scholar-Athlete of the Year. Having completed 117 passes for 2099 yards and 21 TDs, he was a Section IX All-Section quarterback and NYSHSFCA Class A State Football Scholar-Athlete of the Year. With a 103.5%GPA, he was named NYSPHSAA Scholar-Athlete for football and baseball. His family includes parents Kristin and Joseph, and sisters Maggie and Georgia, 2017 and 2019 Warwick grads respectively.
