Wildcats roll behind offensive line

The seniors on the Warwick Valley High School Varsity Football Team celebrate last SaturdayþÄôs 41-7 victory against Goshen in the resumption of the annual contest between the two schools for the Spirit Trophy.

GOSHEN — The Wildcat Varsity football team defeated Goshen 41–7 last Saturday, rushing for more than 400 yards on the ground behind one of the top offensive lines in the section.
Warwick retained the Spirit Trophy in the annual Goshen–Warwick football game. The Wildcats now lead the series 51–46–4.
The rivalry dates back to 1896 (there have been periodic interruptions); it is the second longest in the state behind only Utica Proctor and Rome Free Academy.
The Wildcats will take on Monroe-Woodbury on Friday, Sept. 13, at 4 p.m. in Central Valley.
