Warwick's McCormick to play football at RPI

Awarded $60,000 academic scholarship, By Gregory Sirico Warwick - Senior football standout Bill McCormick will take his athletic and academic talents to Reneselear Polytechnic Institute in upstate New York where he will continue his education as an industrial engineering major at the highly acclaimed engineering school. McCormick was a standout special team’s player, tight end and linebacker for the Warwick Valley High School Wildcats. He was the Special Team’s MVP during his senior season and impressed RPI Head Coach Joe King enough to be offered a spot in their football program. RPI awards the $60,000 Medal Scholarship to students for their exceptional math and science accomplishments. McCormick is on pace to graduate in the top 99 percent of his class (he currently ranks second out of a class of 340). McCormick also is a NYSPHSAA Scholar Athlete team award winner, Future Business Leaders of America member, Weight Room Wall of Fame member and presidential award winner for physical fitness. He is the son of Nancy and Bill McCormick; he has two sisters, Katie, 15, and Kelly, 10. Gregory Sirico is the Warwick Valley High School football coach.
