Warwick Valley Rotary Club sponsors annual golf outing on Oct. 9 at Hickory Hill

WARWICK - It’s one of the area’s most popular golf events and so it’s time to dust off your clubs, make a reservation and mark your calendar for Columbus Day, Monday, Oct. 9. That’s when the Warwick Valley Rotary Club will hold its 14th Annual Golf Outing at the picturesque Hickory Hill Golf Course just off Route 17A in Warwick. And you might win a brand new Ford. This year’s hole-in-one prize is a new Ford Focus sedan courtesy of Leo Kaytes Ford in Warwick. Golfers also will receive a variety of amenities and be treated to a Continental breakfast and later that evening, a buffet dinner and cash bar. The golf package for $90 per golfer also includes green fees, cart and prizes. Non-golfers may wish to attend the buffet dinner for $30. And businesses are invited to purchase sponsor packages or donate prizes. Golfers who haven’t played at Hickory Hill recently will also be pleasantly surprised by several new improvements to the course. All the money raised from the outing will be used to help the Warwick Valley Rotary Club assist both local and international charitable causes. The proceeds of fund-raising events like the Annual Golf Outing are used to benefit the Warwick Senior Citizens Center, Hospice of Orange County, Winslow Therapeutic Center, Warwick Ecumenical Council and many other local organizations including Little League, Youth Football and Youth Soccer. The Warwick Rotary Club also provides college scholarships and contributes as needed to local and international disaster relief. Club members donate generously themselves and run numerous fund raisers to promote worthy causes. Co-chairs for this year’s golf outing are Leo Kaytes and Stan Martin. The Golf Outing committee urges interested golfers to reserve their places as soon as possible as space is limited. For more information, call 629-6491 or 924-1005.
