Warwick football defeats Middletown

— Warwick scored 14 first half point behind a Harrison Parrelli 28-yard touchdown run and a defensive sack forced fumble by Danny McNally which turned into a return for a touchdown by Robert Maslanka who was escorted by a host of Wildcats.
Touchdowns were scored through the air by QB Jared Senius, connecting with both Connor Perez and Gregory Sirico. Senius also rushed for a touchdown to complete the 34-7 first round win at C. A. Morgan Field in Warwick.
Perez had six receptions for 102 yards and a touchdown.
Parrelli rushed 23 times for 178 yards and a score.
Kyle Rooney carried the ball three times for 28 yards and Senius contributed 68 yards to the rushing totals.
Warwick’s defense was outstanding, including two interceptions (one by Zach Ripp and one by Sean English). Inside linebackers, made up of a junior corps of standouts include Maslanka, Joseph Miller, Matt Hansen, Dean Dulgerian and Dan Brenner, have been key to the Wildcat success all season.
Warwick will take on Pine Bush in the second round of the AA football playoffs on Saturday, Oct. 28, at Faller Field in Middletown. Kickoff is slated for 7 p.m.
