Warwick Fire stoked

The U12B Warwick Fire burst into its new season in the East Hudson Youth Soccer League with a 2-0 win over Red Hook. Before the ball even had a chance to see the Warwick side of the pitch, Nick Blomfield on a pass from Philip Goska scored the first goal just two minutes into the game. Throughout the game there were repeated shots on goal by Michael Bedross, Gregory Snigur, Nick Daigle and Ryan Killian, just missing their target. In the second half, Red Hook came on strong, but the Fire defense, highlighted by diving saves by keeper Matt Unick, kept Red Hook scoreless. Ending the game as it started, with only 30 seconds left until the whistle, Philip Goska made another pass to Nick Blomfield, who launched the ball into the back of Red Hook’s net.
