WARWICK— Volleyball captain Paige Cattani is this week’s Warwick Valley High School’s “Student-Athlete of the Week” under the program sponsored by the Bill Garcia Allstate Insurance Agency.
Paige, a senior, is a key player on the Wildcats’ 3–1 defending divisional championship team. She has been selected as a team captain and plays the Libero position, which is the key spot to setting the defense and calling plays.
Paige and the Lady Wildcats defeated Minisink on Sept. 14 in an important divisional match to move into first place in Division II. Early season victories include wins over Goshen and Monroe-Woodbury.
Paige is a solid student and maintains a weighted average better than 90. Her challenging course load includes AP Psychology for College Credit and has completed AP United States History in her junior year.
She is a leader of the Big Sister’s Club which targets anti-bullying and is involved in Homecoming. She is a dedicated volleyball player who works on her game on the high school team and competes on the competitive club circuit in the spring.
Paige is interested in continuing her education in the field of fashion merchandising and is currently researching F.I.T. and Marist College as her top schools of choice.
She is the daughter of Francine and Bobby Cattani of Warwick. Her brother Jimmy is a junior at Fordham University and her brother Michael is a sophomore at Paramus Catholic.

The Warwick Valley “Student-Athlete of the Week” feature is provided by Athletic Director Gregory Sirico.
