Volleyball captain Maddie Zwickl named ‘Student-Athlete of the Week’

WARWICK — Madeline “Maddie” Zwickl has been selected the Warwick Valley High School’s s “Student–Athlete of the Week” under the program sponsored by the Bill Garcia Allstate Insurance Agency.
The senior volleyball captain is a key player on the Wildcats 2–1 defending divisional championship team. Maddie and the Lady Wildcats defeated Goshen and Minisink last week in important OCIAA matches.
Maddie has been selected as a team captain and plays the setter position. She is a four-year varsity player.
Maddie is a solid student and maintains a weighted average better than 90. She has been recognized as a scholar–athlete by the NYSPHSAA for three consecutive years.
She is a dedicated volleyball player who works on her game on the high school team and competes on the competitive club circuit in the spring.
She also is interested in continuing her education in the field of marketing and is currently researching New Paltz and other colleges where she plans to continue to play volleyball.
Madeline is the daughter of Phillip and Michelle Zwickl of Chester. Her brother Joseph and sister Kathyrn are both graduates of Warwick Valley High School.
