Vandenbos is this week's ‘Student-Athlete'

WARWICK — Joe Vandenbos has been named the Warwick Valley High School “Student-Athlete of the Week” under the program sponsored by the Bill Garcia Allstate Insurance Agency.”
The senior football captain and three-year starter is a three-sport standout (football, basketball and lacrosse). At 6’3,” Joe has been a dominant force on the offensive line that was one of the best in the county.
The Wildcats completed the season with a record of 6–3 and qualified for the Section 9 Football playoffs.
Joe is an excellent student whose 95.11 grade point average has drawn interest from many colleges as a student–athlete and top football prospect.
He has a challenging course load which includes three advanced placement courses for college credit this year (AP Government, AP Environmental Science and AP Language and Composition).
The New York State Public High School Athletic Association has recognized Joe as a Scholar–Athlete for football, basketball and lacrosse. He also is a member of the student senate and a senior class officer.
Joe is the son of Mark and Sharon Vandenbos of Warwick. His brother Dan (Warwick Valley class of 2009) attends SUNY Orange) and his brother Nick is a top junior student athlete for the Wildcat football and lacrosse teams.
