— The Warwick Valley Middle School’s Mileage Club had another successful Friday Night Lights Half-Mile Run under the lights this year on Oct. 6.
Thanks to the 17 runners who participated from Warwick Valley Middle School. During halftime of the varsity Warwick versus Minisink football game, Mileage Club runners ran 800 meters, which is two laps.
All runners did a great job, whether someone runs a five minute half mile or a two minute half mile. It is still a half mile.
Special congratulations to the top boy and girl in sixth grade:
Hunter Stuart (first overall in a time of 2:40 minutes); and
Siobhan Kelly (fourth overall with a time of 3:00 minutes).
Special thanks goes to Coach Potter and Coach Akacki for their help, the Warwick Girls Cross Country Team for helping with the finish line, the parents and Mrs. Brady, the club advisor, who helped make our race, finish line and photos all successful.
Run with your heartThanks again and always remember: When you can’t run with your feet anymore, run with your heart.
