U10 Strikers capture Winter Classic Soccer Tournament

Congratulations to the Warwick Soccer Club U10 Strikers girls travel team for winning the Winter Classic Indoor Soccer Tournament at PrimoSports. The Strikers defeated teams from West Point, Carmel, North Rockland and Goshen, allowing only one goal to be scored against them. They won the championship match in a penalty kick shootout. The team is coached by Julie Cauda and trained by Elise Fugowski of PrimoSports. A fund raiser to support this team will be held Monday, March 3, from 4 to 10 p.m. at Five Guys on Route 211 in Middletown. Ten percent of any purchase will be donated to the Strikers for equipment, training and other team expenses.
