On Saturday, May 4, eight of Warwick’s spring high school teams (Varsity and JV boys lacrosse, Varsity and JV girls lacrosse, Varsity and JV baseball and Varsity and JV softball) will travel to North Rockland’s high school campus at 106 Hammond Road in Thiells for 4 p.m. games.

The Red Raider–Wildcat Challenge will be a yearly project supported by the Warwick National Honor Society and the North Rockland Naval ROTC program.

The sites for the challenge will alternate, with next year’s event taking place on the campus of Warwick Valley High School.

The Challenge plaque
This year’s event will feature a pre-game meal on Saturday, May 4, at Warwick Valley High School for all athletes participating in the event. A $20 donation will include the meal, Wounded Warrior shirt and donation to the Wounded Warrior Project.

A speaker from the Wounded Warrior Project will be in attendance and all games will be preceded by a 3:15 p.m. ceremony at the 911 Memorial on the North Rockland Campus.

The schools will be competing for the opportunity to house the Red Raider–Wildcat Challenge plaque for the year on their campus. The scoring will go this way: five points will be awarded to a school for a varsity win and three points for a junior varsity victory.

Suggested admission to the event will be $2 collected at North Rockland High School and T-shirts will be on sale for $10 on game day to parents and community members.
