Two Chester Players Named To All-State Baseball Team

Chester Chester Academy senior Jeff Curtis and junior Mike Schmidlein were both named to the New York State Sportswriters Association All-State Baseball Team this week. Both players were earlier named to The Times Herald-Record All-Star team. Curtis was named to the first team after batting .519 with 9 home runs, 39 RBIs, and 36 runs. He also went 6-2 pitching. Schmidlein was named to the second team this year after being named to the third team last year. He batted .500 with 31 runs scored and 21 RBIs. He is also a member of the All-State Football Team.
