Tryouts for swim club set for Middle School pool

Central Valley - Boys and girls ages 6-18 years old who would like to swim competitively for the Marlins, the Monroe-Woodbury Swim Club, are invited to tryout on the following dates: • Wednesday, Aug. 30, from 6:30-8 p.m. • Thursday, Aug. 31, from 6:30-8 p.m. • Thursday, Sept 7, from 6:30-8 p.m. Tryouts are held at the Monroe-Woodbury Middle School pool. Every child must be accompanied to tryouts by his or her legal guardian. For more information, and to confirm the tryout times, visit the club’s Web site at www.mwmarlins.org. Meanwhile, three-Time Olympic Gold Medalist Josh Davis will hold a clinic for swimmers on Saturday, Sept. 9, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. The clinic is limited to the first 100 swimmers. In order to participate, swimmers must be registered or affiliated with one of the following: An age group swim club, a YMCA swim club, a USA-registered swim club, ASAC or a varsity swimmer.
