Tour de Goshen on Aug. 20 to benefit Winslow
GoshenThe 19th Annual Tour de Goshen will be held on Sunday, Aug. 20, at the joint Recreation Park on Craigville Road in Goshen. Joe Fix Its in Goshen has organized this event for the past 19 years, and hundreds of bicyclists have ridden in support of charity. Again this year, the funds will go directly to Winslow Therapeutic Center, “Healing with Horses,” a not-for-profit center in Warwick to benefit children and adults with special needs. The first ride, which is 62 miles, (for seasoned riders), will depart 8 a.m.; 45 miles (a route for the conditioned rider) departs at 9 a.m.; 25 miles (a route with hills and valleys and scenic views) departs at 10 a.m.; 11 miles (which is aimed at families, seniors, and the casual rider) departs at 10:30 a.m. “Through the support of Tour de Goshen, Winslow has been able to provide more and more children and adults with therapeutic services,” said Christine Tawpash, Executive Director of Winslow Therapeutic Center.
