Tom Reilly named 'Athlete of the Week'

WARWICK — Senior Tom Reilly was selected as Warwick Valley High School's "Student-Athlete of the Week" for the period ending Nov. 1 under the program sponsored by the Bill Garcia Allstate Insurance Agency.
The track and field star verbally committed to attend Dartmouth last week where he will continue his education and compete for the Ivy League school in track and field.
Tom was the county champion in the long jump and finished second in the 100-meter dash.
He has been a member of the track and field team since seventh grade and has times of 10.7 seconds in the 100 meter, and 22.3 seconds in the 200 meters.
Tom earned All–American status at the Outdoor Nationals in the Sprint Medley Relay.
Tom is an outstanding student who has been a NYSPHSAA Scholar–Athlete for four years and his a rigorous course load of OCCC Algebra, AP Government and AP Biology that will make his transition to college studies much easier.
He surrounds himself with great people and his work ethic is contagious. He and teammate Todd Uckermark each are top point scorers for the Wildcats outdoors and share a birthday.
Tom is the son of Tom and Susan Reilly of Warwick. His sister Megan is the 2013 county champion in cross country and his sister Gennavieve is a sixth grader in the Middle School.
