Warwick - Fourteen of Warwick's 7- and 8-year-old baseball players did something really special this summer. Just as they finished a season of instructional baseball in the Warwick Little League, the NY Bulls U8 Travel Baseball Team began a grueling four-week, 12-game travel season. They participated in the Cerbo Baseball Summer League, finishing in second place team behind the undefeated West Milford, N.J., team. The highlight of the Bull's season was their doubleheader sweep against the Long Valley, N.J., team on July 16. During these last two games of the regular season, they were able to secure second place in league play. In both games, the Bulls came from behind to win in dramatic fashion. The players are Brendan Bauer, Mathew Bosch, Michael Cattani, C.J. Curtin, Kyle D'Ercole, Jake D'Ercole, Kevin Fleming, Theodore Gerstein, Cole Gill, Demetrios Joanow, Patrick Meehan, Peter Morano, Joseph Nafash and Brandon Stirt. The coaching staff included Bobby Cattani, Joe D'Ercole, Tom Meehan, Brian Fleming and Chris Curtin. Information for this story was provided by Brian Fleming.
