Tennis player Juliana Marcolini earns 'Student-Athlete of the Week' honors

WARWICK — Juliana Marcolini has been named this week’s Warwick Valley High School's "Student–Athlete of the Week" through the program sponsored by the Bill Garcia Allstate Insurance Agency.

Juliana is in her fifth year of varsity tennis. As team captain, Juliana’s record as first singles player is 7–1 and the team is currently 7-2.

She is the section’s fourth ranked Tennis player and will be defending her Section 9 doubles title this fall from the 2012 and 2013 seasons.

In the classroom
Juliana has a 95.0 overall Grade Point Average and takes a very challenging course load which includes AP Psychology and Senior Project.

She is a member of the Warwick Valley National Honor Society and Sports Medicine Club and competes as a Lady Wildcat lacrosse player in the spring.

She has been recognized by the NYSPHSAA as a scholar athlete for tennis and lacrosse (90 average or better in season).

Verbal commitment to Pace University

Recently, the student-athlete verbally committed to attend Pace University on athletic scholarship to compete on its women’s lacrosse team.

Juliana is the daughter of Michael and Deidre Marcolini of Warwick. Her sister Cassidy is a sophomore at Warwick Valley High School.
