John Chalupa has been accepted to play baseball, in his age bracket, for Team USA at the Youth Friendship Games in Holland during July 2006. The games are promoted through the People to People Sports Ambassador Program, and over 29 countries will participate. Chalupa, 13, a student at Monroe-Woodbury Middle School, has played baseball for eight years, with the Monroe-Woodbury Little League and AAU Travel Baseball Team. He has also attended summer camp at the All Star Baseball Camp at Ramapo College. He was selected upon recommendation from his coaches. He will be able to develop friendships with kids his age from other countries, and share his passion for baseball.
