Swimmers selected to All-American Team

Warwick —The Aqua Gems Swim Team of Warwick were recently notified that Amelia Lupinetti, of Pine Island, and Kellyanne Tomasula, of Vernon, N.J., were selected to the 2006 Scholastic All American Team. They were two of only 600 swimmers nationally that were recognized for this presitgious award by USA Swimming. The Scholastic All American Team is comprised of high school student-athletes who have a grade point average of 3.5 or higher and have competed in an event at the U.S. Nationals Championships, U.S. Open Championships, or Speedo Championship Series Events. “Both women have demonstrated tremendous dedication and commitment to their academic and athletic endeavors throughout their swimming careers.” said Ron Olsen, coach of the Aqua Gems Swim Team. “We are very proud and honored with their achievements.” Amelia Lupinetti is a senior at Warwick High School and Kellyanne Tomasula recently graduated from Vernon High School, and now attends and swims for Rider University.
