Swimmer Gregory Knob chosen WVHS's 'Student Athlete of the Week'

— Gregory Knob has been named Warwick Valley High School's "Student Athlete of the Week" under the program sponsored by the Bill Garcia Allstate Insurance Agency.
The senior swimmer and his teammates started their winter season 3–0 with wins over Burke, Rhinebeck and Highland.
Greg specializes in the 100 butterfly, 100 back stroke and individual medley. He and his teammates will take a shot at the school record in the 200 freestyle relay this winter (1:32.62 held by Peter Moore, Luke Sheridan, Griff Dowden and Matt Pfohl).
Greg is one of Warwick’s top students with a weighted grade point average of 100.83 and currently ranked 12th in a senior class of 366. His courses include AP Calculus, AP Government, AP Language and AP Spanish (he is fluent in Spanish).
Greg is a member of the National Honor Society, Mu Alpha Theta Math Honor Society, captain of the Math Team and treasurer of Cats’ for a Cure (Dedicated to Helping Cancer patients and Families).
Greg Plans to continue his education next fall at Harpur College of Arts and Sciences at Binghamton University and study Actuarial Science and Spanish.
He is the son of Charon and Stephen Knob of Warwick, New York. His brother Brendan (Class of 2016) was a standout student–athlete at Warwick and attends SUNY Albany.
