Central Valley - Monroe-Woodbury quarterback Greg Sullivan will be named the class AA Player of the Year when the New York State Sports Writer’s Association names it’s all-state team next week, The Photo News has learned. The dual-threat junior finished his first season under center 68-of-112 for 1,472 yards and 19 touchdown passes. On the ground, he rushed for 1,012 yards and 12 scores. After the Crusaders’ 32-10 state championship win over Webster Thomas last Sunday at the Carrier Dome in Syracuse, Neil Kerr, who compiles and assembles the state rankings and all-state teams for the New York State Sportswriters Association, made his choice. “Sullivan will be our New York State Class AA Player of the Year,” he said in the pressbox. “He’s clearly the choice.”
