Softball season ends with another victory

Chester The Chester Modified Girls’ Softball team ended its season with a victory of 13-3 over Florida. Pitching an outstanding game striking out 16 over 7 innings was Dana Martin. She also had 5 RBIs. Catcher “Go-Go” Gomez displayed her strong arm by picking off a runner at third to end the inning. Centerfielder Abby Cook saved a run by scrambling to making a two-handed grab on a high fly ball. Alicia Mulvey, Sami Green, and Amy Systma added a total of 10 hits and 6 runs to their team’s efforts. Codie Laden, Amanda Johnson, Sammy Clarke, Christina Petrillo drew six walks. The season was a great success for the girls, ending with a record of 8 wins and only 2 losses. Hard work and team effort made for a great season.
