— Warwick Valley High School diver and lacrosse player Shannon McNamara has quietly become one of the top diving recruits in the country.
The senior student–athlete holds all female diving records in the Warwick Valley School District. She finished third in the state championships last year and eighth as a sophomore. She is coached by 1996 state champion Greg Voloshin (teacher and coach in Warwick Valley High School).
Shannon has accepted official visits to Western Kentucky, University of Nebraska, University of Connecticut and Boston University.
She has not yet decided on her fifth official visit but she has many suitors.
Shannon was selected as a National Interscholastic Swimming Coaches Association (NISCA) All American as junior and is a three-time Section 9 champion.
