Senior Robert Maslanka named Warwick Valley High School's Student-Athlete of the Week
WARWICK — Warwick Valley High School is proud to select Robert Maslanka as this week's Bill Garcia Allstate Insurance Student–Athlete of the Week.
The senior football captain is playing tennis for the Wildcats this spring. Robbie wore #44 for the Wildcats and was a two–year starter at linebacker where he led the team with 88 tackles and was selected to the All Section Football Coaches All Star Team.
Robert’s academic average is an 88 and he has earned NYSPHSAA Scholar–Athlete Recognition.
He is a member of the Leadership Academy, HS Coalition and S.A.D.D. He recently gave a presentation to middle school students on leadership and decision making.
Robbie will attend Cortland State in the fall where he will major in physical education and play football for the Red Dragons.
Robbie is the son of Tom and Mary Maslanka of Pine Island. His brothers John and Tommy were outstanding student–athletes at Warwick Valley High School and his sister Kristen received consecutive All-Conference honors in volleyball at Delhi.
