Senior Connor Perez chosen as Warwick Valley High School's 'Student Athlete of the Week'

— Warwick Valley High School is proud to select Connor Perez, the senior caption of the Varsity Boys Basketball Team, as the Bill Garcia Allstate "Student–Athlete of the Week" for period ending Jan. 5.
Connor is a two-sport standout (football and basketball) for the Wildcats and led the Cats to a divisional basketball victory over Valley Central earlier this month, scoring 15 points to go along with seven assists and six rebounds.
This past weekend, he contributed 15 points in Warwick's 53-49 victory over Monroe-Woodbury High School.
Connor is a three-year starter and two-time captain for basketball.
He also was Section 9’s top receiver with nearly 900 yards this fall. He also scored 11 touchdowns.
Connor’s Grade Point Average this past fall was 93.7, earning NYSPHSAA Scholar–Athlete Recognition.
His commitment to his academics has afforded him many options next year as a top football/basketball prospect. Connor plans to study sports management
The scholar athlete also is active in the high school as a member of the yearbook Advisory Council and Communications Team that produces the high school television programs.
Connor is the son of Jen and Brian Perez of Warwick. His sister Amanda is a senior at Scranton University and his brothers Brendan (8th grade) and Sean (3rd Grade) are both rising student–athletes.
